Most people arrive at this question with one wall in mind rather than a whole flat, so here is the short answer first. Wallpapering a single feature wall in a Singapore home usually comes to between SGD 600 and SGD 1,000 for the wallpaper itself, plus SGD 215 to SGD 365 if you would like us to install it.
Below you will find our actual rates, worked examples for the walls we are asked about most, and a way to compare a per square metre quote against a per roll one, which is where most of the confusion in this market comes from. Everything here is priced the way we sell it: made to measure, for your wall, with nothing left over.
How much does wallpaper cost per square metre?
We price by the square metre rather than by the roll, because every wallpaper we make is printed to the measurements of your wall. You pay for the wall you have, not for the roll it came off.
| Material | Price from |

| Non-woven matte Bedrooms, living and dining rooms, nurseries, home offices · add to cart |

SGD 160/m² |
Non-woven wallpaper starts at SGD 88 per square metre, peel and stick at SGD 120, and heavy-duty textured vinyl at SGD 160. Those are starting rates, and a more detailed design sits above them. An Old World Arboretum, Mural Wallpaper, for example, is SGD 100 per square metre on non-woven.

What wallpaper costs for a real wall
A rate per square metre is hard to picture, so here is what the walls we are asked about most come to. Every example below is worked out at SGD 88 per square metre, our entry non-woven rate, and every wall is ordered 10 centimetres larger in both directions to allow for trimming.
| Wall | Size to order | Wallpaper |
|---|---|---|
| Bedroom feature wall behind the bed, 3m × 2.6m | 3.1m × 2.7m = 8.37 m² | 8.37 × SGD 88 = SGD 737 |
| TV feature wall, 4m × 2.6m | 4.1m × 2.7m = 11.07 m² | 11.07 × SGD 88 = SGD 974 |
| Bomb shelter door and the wall around it, 2m × 2.4m | 2.1m × 2.5m = 5.25 m² | 5.25 × SGD 88 = SGD 462 |
Treat these as a floor rather than a final figure. A mural or a more detailed design sits above the entry rate, so the same wall in a different print will come to more. They also cover the wallpaper alone: installation is priced separately, and those rates are further down.
If you would rather not do the arithmetic, put your wall measurements into our wallpaper visualiser and it will price your wall instantly.
What affects the price of wallpaper in Singapore?
Material
Non-woven is our everyday material and sits at the bottom of the range. Peel and stick costs more because the adhesive is built into the paper itself. Textured vinyl is the most expensive, because it is made to be scrubbed and to live with steam, which is why it belongs in a kitchen or bathroom rather than a bedroom.
Standard or custom design
Every wallpaper we print is already cut to your measurements, so you are never paying extra for a standard size that nearly fits. Where cost does rise is the artwork: a detailed mural carries more than a simple repeat because there is more in it. If you want something built around your own image or idea, that is priced per square metre too, on the finished wall size.
Wall size and complexity
A bigger wall costs more in wallpaper, but the thing that really moves the price is complexity. An alcove, a bulkhead stepping along one edge, a wall broken up by windows, or a surface that needs preparing before anything can go on it all add to the job. Send photographs along with your measurements and we will tell you if any of that applies to yours.
Installation
Hanging it yourself costs nothing and is entirely realistic with peel and stick. For paste-the-wall non-woven across a large wall, most people would rather we sent someone, and that is what the bands below cover.
Per roll or per square metre: how to compare two quotes
This is where most of the confusion in the Singapore market comes from, and it is worth five minutes before you put two quotes side by side.
Some suppliers price by the roll. A roll sounds like a fixed quantity, but what matters is how much of it ends up on your wall. A common European roll is 10 metres long and 0.53 metres wide, which is 5.3 square metres on paper. In practice, once it has been cut to your ceiling height and the pattern matched between drops, nearer 4 square metres of it goes on the wall. The rest is offcut you have already paid for.
So to compare a per roll price with a per square metre one, divide the roll price by the area it will actually cover rather than the area it measures, and remember to count any roll you have to buy whole and will not finish.
We price per square metre of your wall because that is the only area you are really buying. Nothing rounds up to the next roll, and there is nothing left in the store room afterwards.
Wallpaper installation cost in Singapore
We work with experienced installers across Singapore, and you can add installation to your order at checkout rather than arranging it separately.
| Wall area | Installation |
|---|---|
| Under 6 m² | SGD 215 |
| 6 to 9 m² | SGD 265 |
| 9 to 12 m² | SGD 315 |
| 12 to 15 m² | SGD 365 |
Larger jobs, awkward layouts, difficult site access and walls that need preparing first are quoted individually, so get in touch with your measurements and we will give you a figure. Whoever ends up hanging it, the wall underneath needs to be clean, dry and sound first.
For how the installation itself works, from preparing the wall to what happens on the day, see our guide to wallpaper installation in Singapore.
How to work out your own wallpaper price
Two measurements and a multiplication, and you have your answer.
Measure the full width of the wall from edge to edge, then the height from floor to ceiling. If a bulkhead runs along the top, measure to the underside of the bulkhead rather than up to the slab. Add roughly 10 centimetres to the height as a trimming allowance, because very few ceilings in a flat are perfectly level.
Multiply width by height for your area in square metres, then multiply that by the rate for the material you want. Add installation from the bands above if you would like us to handle it.
Covering more than one wall? Measure each separately rather than adding them together, since every drop is printed for the wall it belongs to.
Our guide to measuring your wall for wallpaper walks through it step by step, and the wallpaper visualiser will do the sum for you and show the design in place before you order.
Would rather not measure it yourself? Our on-site measurement service is SGD 50 and covers one visit anywhere in Singapore. We come out, measure the wall properly, and talk through the design in the room it is going in. It earns its fee if your wall has an alcove, a stepped bulkhead, or anything else that makes the arithmetic above feel like guesswork, because a measuring mistake on a made-to-measure print is an expensive one.
Wallpaper prices in Singapore: common questions
Is wallpaper cheaper than painting?
Across a whole flat, no. Paint is cheaper per square metre and always will be. On a single feature wall the gap narrows considerably, and wallpaper gives you pattern, texture and depth that paint cannot. Most people we work with paint the room and paper one wall.
How much does it cost to wallpaper one wall?
Between roughly SGD 600 and SGD 1,000 for the wallpaper on a typical HDB feature wall, plus SGD 215 to SGD 365 for installation. The worked examples above show how that breaks down on real measurements.
Does the price include installation?
No, installation is priced separately so that it stays your choice. You can add it at checkout, or hang it yourself, which is very manageable with peel and stick.
Why is wallpaper priced per square metre rather than per roll?
Because we print to your wall rather than selling you a standard roll. You pay for the area you are covering, with no offcuts and no part-used roll left behind.
Is wallpaper worth it in a rented flat?
It can be. Peel and stick comes away cleanly at the end of a tenancy, which makes it the usual choice for a rental. Do get your landlord’s approval in writing first.
Can I see a design before I commit?
Yes, and we would encourage it. Samples are SGD 8, and seeing a design on your own wall under your own lighting tells you more than any screen will.
Ready to price your own wall?
Every wallpaper we make is printed in Europe on breathable, PVC-free paper with VOC-free inks, and cut to your wall’s exact measurements rather than sold by the roll. That is why the price is per square metre, and why there is nothing left over at the end.
Explore the collection to find a design you love, order a sample of anything you are drawn to, and drop your measurements into the visualiser for a price on your own wall. If your wall is an awkward one, or you want something custom, reach out and we will work it out with you.
